TERRI G. TRENT
Terri
Trent is a seasoned organizational consultant, who specializes in
providing innovative business solutions for both organizations and
individuals. She has had more than 20 years of diverse experience
in human resources and organizational development, career coaching
and counseling, performance management, training and group facilitation,
curriculum design, business communications, and college instruction.
Prior to launching her own practice, Terri worked for Right Management
Consultants, an international Career Management firm, with 200+
offices worldwide. There, she acted as Director of Delivery Training
and Development. In this role, she was repeatedly recognized for
her skillful use of multi-modal learning methodologies to design
and deliver innovative training programs for Career Management professionals.
She also served on a cross-functional think tank, charged with rolling
out a new, innovative service delivery model worldwide. Additionally,
she implemented a professional development program for corporate
staff, as well as a mentoring program for employees throughout Right
Management Consultants. She was involved in developing the first
ever competency models for several positions throughout the company.
In 1999, Terri was awarded the Chairman's Award in recognition
for providing outstanding customer service to all RMC offices, worldwide.
Prior to assuming this role, Terri worked as a career management
consultant with RMC, where she advised individual and corporate
clients in the areas of career development, retirement, team effectiveness,
spouse/partner issues, diversity and re-organizational issues. Terri
has worked with all levels of employees, from hourly non-exempt
to senior-level executives.
Terri's specific areas of expertise include performance improvement,
career coaching, curriculum design using adult learning theory,
group facilitation, leadership development, change management, diversity
training, policy development, team building, train-the-trainer,
competency development, conflict resolution, and multiple assessments,
including the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory.
In addition to her consulting work, Terri is an online graduate
instructor in organizational development and human resources management
at the University of Phoenix. Terri has also served as an adjunct
instructor at both Wilmington College and Delaware Technical Community
College. Her human resources experience includes numerous functional
areas, including: training and development, employee relations,
recruiting, corporate communications and employee benefits and compensation.
Terri's education includes her current status as a Doctoral Candidate
in Online Learning at Capella University. She also possesses an
MBA from Widener University and a BA in Speech Communication from
West Chester State University. She also holds numerous professional
certifications, including an MBTI qualification.
Terri is active with the American Society for Training and Development
(ASTD), The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce, the National
Association of African Americans in Human Resources, and the Urban
League.
